Sweden-Based Gambian Hip-Hop Star On Smiling Coast Visit

A rising Gambian Swedish based hip-hop artiste is currently on a visit in the Smiling Coast of Africa, to meet families as well as better promote his forthcoming album.

Born Muhammed Faal but musically Flexx, is of Gambian origin currently blazing like wild volcano across most Swedish cities. The forthcoming album recorded at Nordis and Steel and Bright Light in Stockholm-Sweden, is entitled ‘On My Way Home’ and comprises of 14 tracks sounds.

With a short spell in the music scene, Flexx, who burst into the scene a couple of years ago has successfully dropped his first mixtape called ‘International Gram Vol I” in 2009. Following rising success, he later dropped another cloudburst masterpiece a year later making it part two series and volume 11 for the mixtape in 2011.

In an interview with What’s On, the rising hop-hop star explained that the album features some of the finest stars such as Essay, Outlaws in America, Faatah in Senegal, Chris Mhina in Swedenjust to name but a few. “The name of the forthcoming album is ‘On My Way Home’ comprising 14 tracks sounds. This album will be in the market this summer 2013.However, the concept is about a boy growing up to become a man or otherwise the journey of life”.

Flexx explained that after his Gambian trip, he will then move to the US to shoot the videos with the Outlaws. “When that’s done, we just want to promote the album globally. I grew up watching TupAc and the likes and collaborating with such renowned stars is a dream comes true”.

He explained that over the years he has different singles with some of the renowned international stars hinting that he wants to launch the album in Sweden, Norway, US and the Smiling Coast of Africa. “This International Gram Vol I is a mixtape and more of a promotional stuff. I’m just glad to be at home and appreciative the love and support they’ve shown towards my music. I won’t let them down and 2013 is the year we got to take the game to the next level,” he added.
